He was a retired contractor salesman from Moore's Building Supply Co. with 26 years' service, an Army veteran adn a member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving: wife, Jo Ann Vannoy Paxton; sons, Gregory Allen Paxton of Hurricane, Jimmy Allen Paxton of Charleston; daughters, Terri Paxton Critchfield and Tracy Paxton Wolf, both of Charleston; sister, Carolyn Sue Harley of Titusville, Fl; nine grandchildren Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Vannoy officiating. Entombment will be in Florial Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Pocatalico. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
