PAXTON Bancroft- Myrtle June Paxton, 83, of Bancroft, Putnam County, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, in St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, after a short illness. She was a member of Hometown Senior Citizens Choir, Bancroft Church of God Mission and Valley Drive Church of God Mission. She assisted her husand in pastoring Valley Drive Church of God Mission and Clark Memorial Church of God Mission. Surviving: husband, the Rev. Cladis D. Paxton; daughters, Shirley Lorrison of Muncie, Ind., Janet Sauders of Poca; sons, James of thomasville, N.C., Paul of Bancroft; sisters, Rosanna Paume of Stow, Ohio, Geraldine Titus of Greenville, Pa,; brothers, George McCroskey of Commeaut, Ohio, Jack McCroskey of Kingsville, Ohio, Charles McCroskey of Montezuma, Ind, Harold McCroskey of Kingsville, Ohio, The Rev Billy McCroskey of Oneonta, Ala; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Bancroft Church of God Mission with Paul Arthur and the Rev Carl Arthur officiating. Burial will be in Schowen Cemetery, Bancrost. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Gatens Funeral Home, Poca.
