Hello Paxton List, I am doing some family research for a cousin whose name is Paxton. I know that she descends from a Samuel Paxton and Catherine Donaldson. Not sure is this is all correct but I found that Samuel's burial record at the FHC today and his cemetery stone said he was born 10 Sept 1817 (in Ohio, verbal family history) and he died 21 March 1868....his wife Catherine Donaldson was born 1825 and died 1889 (cemetery stone)..she has a single sister Jane Donaldson that is buried with them. They are buried in Canton, Ohio I found Catherine Paxton and her sister Jane Donaldson living in Canton Ohio in the 1880 Census. Samuel and Catherine's son was Daniel Donaldson Paxton who was born 31 Aug 1844 in Canton, Stark County Ohio. (I spent all day looking at all the microfilm on 1850 Census and checked every Samuel Paxton..there were many....and none matched....so the Canton location for Daniels' birth may be wrong...verbal family history:) Daniel Donaldson Paxton and Sarah Pemiela Stevens were married in late 1870's in California.....Daniel died in Sacramento on 29 August 1913... Daniel and Sarah Paxton's children: Katherine Paxton Dec. 26, 1875 Julia L. Paxton Jan 1878, name may be Norine Emma July 22, 1880 Laura A. Paxton Oct 1882 Alvin Samuel Paxton - 2 July 1885 in Nelson, Butte County, CA Ida May Paxton- November 24, 1887 Stephen S. Paxton Dec 7, 1890 Daniel D.
