Jeanne, Yes, I did get the information you sent me on William Paxton and Sarah Grace McDowell. However, did not have the part about his father William from VA. Do you have any ancestors or origens behind William of VA? I have heard that the Paxtons came from Scotland, and know a person who has visited a town in Paxton England where there are 30 or so Paxtons buried in a church cemetery. But, of course, I don't have a lineage tracing my Paxtons back that far. Any help would be appreciated.
