Dear Fred, This is the first time I have ever responded to a posting, so bear with me , please. My grandmother was Maysie Nevada Paxton, born Feb. 1, 1883 in New Madrid, MO, she married there to Andrew Crawford Adams on May 12, 1912. Her brother was Amos Andrew Jackson Paxton, there were sisters (Viola and Cora). My grandmother's father was Amos Paxton (b. Dec 1851) and her mother was Ada Kerfoot. I have worked mostly on my other "lines", maybe this is the time to start with this one. Any thing you could tell me would be greatly appreciated, it is just too much of a "coincidence" about the Paxtons of our families being from New Madrid, MO. Thanks, Betty
