Rootsweb has announced a new service whereby any posts to the GenConnect boards can now be "gatewayed" to mailing lists. When a board is gatewayed to a mailing list, every message posted to the GenConnect board will be forwarded to the corresponding mailing list. The message sent to the list will contain the URL of the specific post to allow the list subscribers to respond directly to the message. In this manner, gatewaying will enable more effective communication between the mailing lists and the GC boards. The messages from the GenConnect board will be forwarded with the prefix: [GenConnect] so you can distinguish them better. If you want to delete, fine, but with the very slight increase in messages received, I feel this will be a great way to find something you might have otherwise missed. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact me directly at [email protected] Thanks! Wanda Rabb
