John: Not an expert, but I'd think you'd be in no more danger of your address being spread around to spammers with the new setup than you are now. Rootsweb does have spam filters in place that stops any spam from getting through to the lists. As far as "harvesters" go, I can't see how this is going to make it any easier for them. I checked the q&a board, nothing posted to answer this already, so I posted the question. I will post their answer when I get it.
