Hello, and thank you for your friendly welcome! The family I am researching is my great grandfather, and back from there, hopefully! He was Richard Paxton, married to Mary. They farmed at Green Hailey Farm, Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, England, in the 1880's, or thereabouts. He was an educated man, and kept a journal in both Latin and Greek, but it is guarded by a reclusive relative, and one is not allowed access, sadly! I do not know if he is connected to a faming set of Paxtons from Mixbury, near Brackley, or to Jonas Paxton, an auctioneer from Bicester in the 1860's, but I have always imagined it to be so. To quote another Paxton researcher......I didn't know there were so many out there! I am related to Jonas PAXTON of Bicester, and we are both related to Sir Joseph Paxton, born in Milton Bryan, BDF in 1803. I have extensive files on the PAXTONS in the home counties and hope to be able to help you. I attach what is hopefully your family, which shows that they came from Ford Dinton in BKM.
