Looking for information on a Charles Paxton of Franklin Co. Ohio who was listed in court records as a plaintiff in an 1817 lawsuit. Could he have been the father of my ggg grandfather, Samuel Paxton who married Amy Wilcox in Franklin Co. OH in 1823? Am guessing that Samuel's father's birthdate was around 1775-1780, as Samuel was probably born about 1803-1805. He must have been a minor at his 1823 marriage, as the application states his father was dead & his mother gave permission for his marrying. Any help certainly appreciated.
