Mr. Paxton was cremated. There were no services. Mr. Paxton was born on Aug. 28, 1948, at O'Neill, NE to Norman and Mary Joyce (Thornton) Paxton. He grew up and attended school at Chambers, NE He was an over-the-road truck driver. He liked to tinker with things. Survivors include one son, Cecil Eugene Paxton of Grand Island; two daughters, Mary Joyce Paxton of Sedalia, Mo., and Tammy of California; two grandchildren; one sister, Norma Joyce Smith of Grand Island; and one brother, Robert James Paxton of Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
