Connie: Sorry ro take so long but December was hectic. If you can find a copy of Adelaide Doran's "The Paxton Family", you will find on page 254 a rundown on your Samuel. I find using Mrs. Doran's book much more helpful than W. M. Paxton's book even if it doesn't have an index. I'm also trying to connect a Samuel to John Paxton of Fayette Co. My Samuel is probably either a son or grandson since John sold him 160 acres of land in Ohio for the sum of twenty cents. Since John had just finished paying off the US Government $320 for the land there must be a fairly close connection. Do you have anything on John's descendants that would help? Jean M. "C.L.
