Hi Jean, The Paxton house in England is called Bycott House nd is in Buckinghamshire, not too far from Oxford. There is also a house in Berwichshire called "the Paxton House", but I don't know why. It is near the truly ancient castle which was a Paxton castle. Now it is a part of the National Gallery . On page 4 of the old Paxton book there is a reference to both the house and to Henry Paxton. If you don't have it ,let me know and I will photocopy it for you. My Photocopy is from a cousin in Charlottesville. If I ever find time, I'm going to organize all this mess I have collected.
