PAXTON DATE: SEPTEMBER 6, 2000 -- CARLISLE, PA. SOURCE: THE CARLISLE SENTINEL Stella M. Paxton, 73, of 839 N. West St., Carlisle, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000 at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle. Born Jan. 29, 1927 in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Jerome Lebo and Sarah Brown Lebo Hollinger and the widow of George A. Paxton Jr., who died Feb. 5, 1998. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Carlisle, where she was a deacon and a member of the flower committee and the uniform lessons class at her church. She was a former drum major for the drum and bugle corps of the American Legion Post 101 in Carlisle. Mrs. Paxton is survived by two sons, George W. and David A. of Carlisle; two daughters, Cathy L. Fetter and Susan A. Wadsworth of Carlisle; two brothers, Robert Lebo and Bruce Lebo of Carlisle; a sister, Beatrice Weaver of Carlisle; five half-sisters, Linda Snyder of Carlisle, Carol Highlands, Patricia Taylor, Judy Vianey and Rosalie Hollinger; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Jerome Lebo. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Jon A. Black officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middleton Township. Friends may call Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
