She died Saturday, Aug 26, 2000, at her daughter's home in Topeka (KS). She was born May 7, 1906, in Ashdown AR, the daughter of Alex PAXTON and Nancy NOLAN PAXTON. She moved with her family to Idabel early in her life. She attended school in the McCurtain County School District in Oklahoma City. She had lived and been employed in domestic work in Oklahoma City, Texarkana AR, San Francisco, and Portland OR. She moved back to Idabel in 1945. Mrs Mason was a member of Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel where she served as a church clerk and president of the Women's Missionary, and she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Osburn MASON, who preceded her in death. Survivors include two sisters, Minnie PAXTON ALEXANDER, Topeka, and Velma Sheridan FOX, Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Idabel. Baker Funeral Home in Idabel is in charge of arrangements.
