PAXTON ALEXANDER - John Junior Paxton, 79, of 255 Huey Road, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000. Mr. Paxton was born Aug. 17, 1921 in Indianapolis, Ind. John was the son of the late John and Mamie Pennington Paxton. Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Bertha Carter Paxton. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 15, in Greenwood, Ind. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at West Funeral Home, 17 Merrimon Ave., Weaverville. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, P.O. Box 16, Asheville, NC 28802.
