What town or community? I don't believe it was the Paxton family as they seem surprised to find out about her and her mother when I recently communicated with one of the members of the Paxton family. Ada and my grandfather, John Oscar Applewhite, apparently married sometime in 1899 because the 1900 Census shows them in Rusk County as having been married 1 year. In the 1910 Census it shows them as having 3 sons -- Tommie, Earnest and John Elmer (my father). Actually, Tommie was Tomma Lee, a daughter, who died in childbirth in 1921. Any info about Ada would be most appreciated. I am named for her, Ada Eyvonne.

Her daughter Ada was best friends with my grandmother Ida Rhodes, who married William Houston Paxton. Ida was 16 years younger than William, who was 7 years younger than his brother John. That explains how Ada and Ida could be the same age, but one marrying the brother of the other one's father! Ida and William named their first daughter with the middle name "Bell"...I'm sure it was after Ada.
