    2. Dianna Privette
    3. Dianna Privette here; I am descended from two of the Paxton/Paxson lines; one from the Paxtons/Paxsons that came in with William Penn in 1682/3. This line is composed of several of the other families that came with Penn; They went from PA/NJ or Delaware River area about 1800 over into the Ohio. And is well documented<AAron Paxton>to Wall and Mason lines; the other is that of Nancy Paxton/Paxson who married Zackquill Morgan, son of Mogan ap Morgan who founded Morgantown, Monongalia Co., VA now WV. This of the Morgan/Pierpoint/pont line. It was Pierpoint untill one became Governer, then it got changed to Pont. But is the same line; I am looking for the parents, siblings, family of Nancy Paxton and her brother<?> Reuben Paxton. I am interested in documentation only; I know the story of the unfindable bible. Below is what I have comeup with; in the terms of DOCUMENTATION; One thing I have found so far; the Earlyest recds of Paxton/Paxson in this county see to be those that came in with Penn; There are some Pownalls and Simcocks over in Frederick County, VA as the same time as Reuben is documented to be there; But he and Zackquills sister just dissappear<?> from the records... BUT THERE IS STILL many recds to look at; and I this last month found TWO missing pieces of info which are detailed in the below; as I don't know if they allow graphics in these msgs...?? But the refs are listed, so you can look your selves. Anne Morgan was never married to Nathaniel Thomas, per his will.... 1. [PAXTON-L] Lubin Paxton Massachusetts,Louisana and Alabama
    2. Hello to all, Does anyone have any information on Lubin P. Paxton I found him on the 1930 census for New Orleans but I am afraid I cannot find the paper I wrote down the information on and I do not have ancestary.com I use it at the place I do my research. I also found on Ancestary.com a reference for a Lubin P. Paxton Date of Death 5 June 1944 Mobile Alabama v. 25 cert# 12060 roll # 4 . I checked in www.familysearch.org and they do not have this on microfilm Alabama deaths only go to 1940. My Lubin Paxton married my great grandmother Mary E. Flemming in Boston Ma. in 1909. According to the marriage record Lubin was in the USN and born in Washington, DC but I have not been able to find a birth record for him he was born circa 1887. Mary and Lubin had one son Albert E. Paxton who was born in 1909 and later was adopted my his stepfather Mathew Dempsey of Somerville Ma. Mary and Lubin were divorced in 1922 I do not know what happened to Lubin after this. If this sounds familiar to anyone please contact me thank you. Aine R7G98L@aol.com

    3. Our end of the Paxton kin, as far back as I can go (which right now is only to 1837 with the Birth of David P Paxton in Indiana. He married Sara E, born in Ohio. That is the extent of it. They had six children, James S, John W, Sara E, Charles G, Effie B, and Samuel O. James S (born in Indiana) married ??? (born in Illinois) and they had two children Chauncey (born in Illinois) and Guy(born in Nebraska). At some point James' wife passed away, and he re-married, Louise C (born in Ohio) (no maiden name known at this time). Chauncey married Blanche Fields, and they had three children, Lowell, Paul and Donald. (Lowell is my paternal grandfather) Chauncey died in 1923 at the age of 39, and Blanche re-married a man named Lee Keller. They had no children together to my knowledge. I am desperately trying to find James' first wife, and any information on maiden names. Any information anyone has is greatly appreciated. -----Original Message----- From: Philip Sonnichsen [mailto:cpsonnichsen@hotmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 08, 2003 5:00 PM To: PAXTON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [PAXTON-L] Re: Louisiana Paxton Family Dear Tamara, You wrote: "Would that be John W. 3. Collin C. Paxton was only 23 on the 1920 Census and was a driver for the coal mines. Probably no connection other than the community. Death certificates can provide enormous help if you have the date of death, send away for the death certificate. I wasn't able to find him on the Illinois Archives list online (1916-1950) but if there was a coroners inquest there has to be a paper trail somewhere. I would pursue something more local, a library or county clerk's office right in Danville. Wish I could be more help. Good Luck. 3. Thanks so much for trying anyway. I know he isn't in the archives online for 1916 to 1950, which is weird, but if you go to the same webpage, and search the vermillion county inquest files, he is there. Says he died from acute dialation of the heart. Family history says he was delivering something to a store there in Danville, sat down on a chair and died. -----Original Message----- From: Ken & Jan [mailto:kbultema@comnetcom.net] Sent: Wednesday, September 24, 2003 5:37 PM To: PAXTON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PAXTON-L] Illinois Paxtons Collin C. 3. Hi, Is Chauncey his given name or could he have gone by a different name, or nickname? On the 1920 Census there is a Collin C. Paxton in Danville, Vermillion County, Georgetown township. When I punched in Chauncey Paxton all states available for the 1920 Census, nothing came up. Have you checked the Vermillion County records in Danville? 3. His name really is Chauncey. I am not sure about Collin, does it show his age in 1920? Chauncey would have been 35 or 36 depending on the month. He died in Danville. I actually got the date of death and cause of death from the coroner's inquest files. -----Original Message----- From: Ken & Jan [mailto:kbultema@comnetcom.net] Sent: Wednesday, September 24, 2003 1:59 PM To: PAXTON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PAXTON-L] Illinois Paxtons Hi, Is Chauncey his given name or could he have gone by a different name, or nickname?
