There is some thought that they may have been Benjamin and Mary Chandler but not confirmed. Mary's sister was Elizabeth Betsey Chandler the wife of Philemon Clark. It is noted that Peter Montross' son by Lavinia Newberry was named Philemon Clark Newberry. In your communique you say that Peter Montross had four children plus he raised a step-son of his second wife. I only have 3 children, not counting the step- son. Who was the fourth child. Could it have been John G. Montross who married Sarah (Unknown)? John G. had a son named Clark John Montross who married Minnie Sickler, d/o William and Julia Melissa Clark Sickler (My great grandparents). Would really appreciate family history of the Montross', particularly the descendants of Clark John and Minnie Sickler Montross. Burton H. Sickler [email protected]
