    2. Asa Stevens and Sarah Adams Stevens were early settlers from Connecticut, They were residents of the Wyoming Vally, Asa was killed July 3, 1778 in the Wyoming Massacre. His wife Sarah and children returned to Connecticut. Only a few of the settlers escaped with their lives. In 1792 their son Jonathan Stevens came back to settleat Hemlock Bottom. He claimed 300 acres of land up the riverabove the Whitcomb and Lake families. Jonathan who was born in Connecticut had 2 brother Asa and Simon and a sister Abigail who had married Josiah Fassett before coming to Hemlock Bottom. Asa located permenely here about 1796,and Simon came 2 years later. Simon was a blacksmith, and Asa was born 1768 and his wife EstherDowning were buried in the Fassett plott in upper Hemlock Bottom. There daughter Caroline married John Allen an early settler of Jenningville. Wyoming co. PA. I am interested in finding information on the ADAMS<ALLEN<FASSETT families [email protected]
