A meeting was held January 11 1905, in the Johnson Opera House, in Lacyville, to organize the Good Will Volunteer Fire Company. Mac Ward was chairman and the first officers of the company were John Gaul, H. L. Johnson, James T Wright, A. H. Harris, G. B. Johnson and G.B. M. Ward. At the time of the meeting dues ere set a $1.00 per year and by-laws were officially adopted. Four fire-policemen and a fire warden were appointed. In Aug 1905 the first piece of equipment a chemical cart was bought for one hundred and three dollars. In 1906 3 fire axles, 2 doz fire pails, and a five hundred foot capacity hose cart was bought costing one hundred and six dollars and sixty four cents.
