Jasper Fassett was the oldest child of Josiah and Abigail, He was born in Connecticut January 8, 1790 and came with his parents to Hemlock Botton in 1795. He married Margaret H, Garey. They children were Abigain born 1816 married Chandler Champion; Lewis 1819-1820; Mary E born 1822 married A. W. Courtright; Salley 1824-1838; Henry W born 1827 married Caroline Jackson; Angeline born 1829 married John Coon; James G born 1831, married Sarah Learn; Jasper Jr born 1834 married Sohia Adele Gay and Edumnd D born 1838, married Mary E Keeney Jasper died Aughust 5, 1840 and his wife Margaret Helen died march 1865. Borth are buried in upper Scottsville cemetery. The three sons of Jasper and Margaret's were the last members of the Fassett family remaining in Scottsville in 1900.
