The first house along the highway from the Overshot Rd to Jenningsville is owned by Mr and Mrs. Ferdinand Caravone, from Staten Idland, NY. they bought 2 acres of land from Frank Nichols in 1972 and built their new home in 1973 and are living there permanently. Next is the Frank Nichols farm, owned in the late 1800's by Benjamin and Cynthia Brown Stevens. His son Andrew and wife Polly {Redmond} Stevens, were the next owners. Their son Hiram married Bessie Myers in April 1915, and started housekeeping on his farm. Deeds show that Hiram received the place from his father in 1931. It was purchased by Frank Nichols in 1944 the present owner. Mr. Nichols sold serveral lots on which new houses have been built, or trailers placed.
