The adjoining farm was owned by VanNess Farr, who married Ann Inman, daughter of Eber and Samantha Garey Inman. Their children were maude and Llyod maude married James Flelming and Lloyd Lida DeWolf, Daughter of Charles and Evaline Dewolf, The VanNess Farr home burned 1891, Another house was soon built, but Mr. Farr lived only a few months after ward. Later Ann married George Hobbs, After the death of Mr Hobbs. Ann married William Inman, The little house which is still on the farm was moved there from near the pond. This house has been rented by many during the past several years. In later years, the farm was purchased by Mrs Mildred Getz, who sold it in 1936 to Luzerne Co. Sheriff Dallas C. Shobert. Mr and Mrs William DeWitt occuped the home and worked the farm as the Shoberts used it as a summer vacation home. The 1946 the Shoberts sold it to Melvin and Louise Gibbs Morrison.
