Rock Hill is located between Scottsville and Golden Hill, The Shoemakers, Gareys, Kiethlines and Fassetts were among the earlies settlers. There were several sawmills in the area Nothing is known about any of them except the one at Graves Pond. Tis overshot mill was run by John S Graves who was killed at the Nanticoke Chute while rafting lunber down the river, there is a pond at this site today, the only one remaining of the many ponds, that once covered the creeks on Rock Hill and Golden Hill. After Mr. Graves death his wife Harriet Kiethline Graves married Moses S. Kintner.
