Later residents were George H Brown son of William and Hannah Janette Trowbridge Brown who was born in Windham Township where he lived all his live. He married Augusta Shaw. They lived on a farm in Scottsville and reared a family of 6 children William, Claude, John, Ethel, Margaret, and Marion. George was a lumberman as well as a farmer and did custom threshing in the township for many years. Many neighbors received help from all memebers of the Brown family when they needed it. Augusta died April 13, 1936, and George died July 11, 1937. At the present time 1977 three of the children have passed away. All are buried on North Flatt. Korah Sands and wife Jennie daughter of Minor and Ellen Walters Farr, resided in Clarksburg West Virginiafor some time They had 3 sons Walter, Gilbert and Charles. Walter was born in Clarksburg August 14, 1904the familyh moved to Scottsville in the early 1900 and lived on a farm owned by Alvah Fassett of turnkhannock, Pa. For many years both Mr and Mrs Sands were regular members of the Mehoopany Grange. After leaving the farm at Scottsville they lived for a time near LeRaysville, later moved back to Mehoopany where both died. [email protected]
