I am writing to inquiry if any one is familiar with the early settlement of the area.. I have several ancestor who signed the petition to Congress in 1801. Among them are John and Wm Drown and Jesse Sawyer. A Jesse Sawyer is on the 1800 census for Ulster township which was in Luzrene County then and now Bradford Co. Does anyone else have relatives that signed that petition? If so did they live in the area or had they left? Thank You Marilyn Bess
