Sarah drowned and Solomon apparantly died later from pneumonia. I recently found in the US Mortality tables that this occurred in November of 1860 somewhere in Wyoming County Pennsylvania.Mrs Solomon Roberts was listed as drowned, and that's all I could find. I previously thought it occurred around Scranton. I am not at all familiar with Wyoming County as far as what cities are there, etc. Since they were originally from New York, and had children who lived in Scranton, West Pittson and Philadelphia, I can only assume from looking at the map that they may have been in transit from one of those homes to theirs in New York state (Orange County) but I'm not really sure. Perhaps they even lived in Wyoming County somewhere. Is anyone aware of any newspapers from that period , or any other way I could get info on this accident? e-mail me at klo5@comcast.net, or just answer here. Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kathy O'Hara
