My GG Grandfather is Jasper Billings, b. 24 Mar 1837 at White Haven, PA. I found him in the 1850 and 1860 census. He is missing in 1870. He marries in Salt Lake City in 1872 under the name Jackson Jones. How odd. Now there is a Jasper Billings in the 1870 census living in Wyoming County, PA in 1870 with a wife and 3 kids. If this is the same fellow, there should be some record of his disappearance, shouldn't there?
