Harold, I understand the problem about overgrown cemeteries, It is truly a shame. I have several that have Carpenter family members that are now in that same condition. Fortunately, there are a lot of records that also provide the needed research information. I have just transcribed a genealogy report which had a few Tiffanys and also Stanton s that resided in Abington Township, in what are now Wyoming And Lackawanna Counties. If you could give us a few names, maybe that could lead us to the elusive cemetery you seek. Jack
Laurence, I have a family history of William Stanton, Sr. who married Rachael Goodrich. It's a family history that I started using Microsoft Word and have been adding to it as people contact me with new information. Right now this history consists of 159 pages. I have just the information you provided me on Eva Stanton who married George M. Lance and Cora Hinkley who married George Burton Lance and not a bit more. I wish I did have somthing you dont' have. I appreciate the time you took to share your LANCE connection to this STANTON family with me. Thank you! Jack, I appreciate the effort you took to look up and list the three cemeteries that have Stanton's and Tiffany's buried in them. None of them appear to be the elusive cemetery my wife wants so desparately to find. She feels that, once her father passed away, nobody else took up his cause to keep the cemetery well trimmed and, thus, it became over grown with weeds, bushes, trees, grass and what have you. This cemetery might be just off of a road that is no longer used as a main road. We'll have to make another trip to the area and look some more. If you happen to come across an old cemetery with any Tiffanys or Stantons in, please let me know. My wife's maiden name is Tiffany and she remembers as a child her parents driving up to the Nicholson area from Milton, PA to take care of a cemetery. She remembers it being right off of a road but not its exact location. We've been up to the Nicholson area twice this year but so fare we haven't found the right cemetery. -------Original Message------- From: S P <susqsue@yahoo.com> Sent: 06/05/03 03:36 PM To: PAWYOMIN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PAWYOMIN-L] Directions? > > Thank you very much!
