Hello everyone, I am new to this site and am looking for information about an old graveyard. My gr-grandfather (a widower) and his two small children left St Agnes Cornwall UK in 1867. He settled in Plymouth PA, remarried Eliza Elliott in 1870 and died in a typhoid outbreak in 1871(?), along with daughter Lettie. We have never been able to find his grave and rumor has it a railroad was built through the graveyard and coffins were thrown into the river (Susquehanna?). His name was Alfred Nicholas Houghton. (family bible); Olive d. 24 June 1873; bur. Beaumont cem. In the text, it says, "Besides bringing up his own 4 children, Peter also raised his second wife's son Angelo Jackson." So it seems that Olive may have had a first marriage or a child out of wedlock! (since the last name is Jackson? hmmm.) With Olive, he had children William Alonzo Montross b. 4 Jan.1829 and Peter Henry Montross b. 7 Aug. 1832.
