Does anyone have access to this book to check to see if there are any other reference to any Drown families? Georgia abt ca.1785-1803 ) family was massacred by indians when he was a small boy. He was raised by indians until he was about 15 then one nite he stole a pony and rode away. He thinks his family were all killed. In researching for his roots ,we can go no farther back than 1819 where we find him in Arkansas Territory [South West corner ]and again in 1820 , special census Arkansas Territory.In 1824 he was in Texas with Stephen F. Austin . He married Elizabeth (betty ) Miller .Can't seem to find patents or siblings names . We are starting to wonder if there is some truth in the story about the massacre . The early Durlans migrated from Orange County NY to Luzerne County (now Wyoming County PA). Some of them married in to my McConnell family.
