I believe that he is my ancestry. What I do know is that John married Mehitable Carey and they had a daughter, Catherine who married someone by the last name of Searle. My ggg-grandfather, Ethan Scott had a daughter and named her, I believe, after Catherine. Ethan was also from Luzerne County. Any information would be appreciated.
Does anyone have access to this book to check to see if there are any other reference to any Drown families? A friend from this about Wm Drown in "Early Times on the Susquehanna" by Mrs.George A Perkins written I think 1870.....anyway Chapter 26 - Soldiers "When called upon in 1812, to resist British aggression again, they were some what prepared for the conflict. Several Volunteer companies went from this region to the Canada lines, the seat of the war. Captain Julius Tozer, with three of his sons, Julius, Samuel and Guy, were among the number; together with Elishama Tozer, Daniel Satterlee, John Brown William Drown, Samuel Baldwin, several of the name of Wilson, four named Ellis and several from neighboring towns; all attached to the regiment of Colonel Dobbins" Thank you, Marilyn bess

Hi again Truman and all Forgot to provide my Worldconnect database name! Try this: srobin0789 Scott
Hi Truman I am a descendent of Lt. Asa Stevens who was killed at the Wyoming Valley Massacre. I have no record of any of his ancestors or descendents moving to Georgia but you may want to give my Worldconnect database a peek to see if anything provides you with any hints regarding your Thomas Stevens. I have quite a few Stevens listed there. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to let me know. Scott Robinson Janesville, WI

How did you come up with the name of Charles' (1813) father being Charles? I'm thinking it was probably David since the history book Chris Barnes mention said that by (I think it was) 1792, David Delevan had come (into Falls or Exeter, Luzerne, PA). I've been working on Rosses. A little on Delevans, lately. Regards, Sally D.

My gr-gr-gr-gr-great grandfather, Lt. Perrin Ross, was killed in the Wyoming Valley Massacre as was his brother, Jeremiah Ross, and his brother-in-law, Jonathan Otis. Put "Wyoming Valley Massacre" in a Yahoo Search, and you'll find something.

He thinks his family were all killed. In researching for his roots ,we can go no farther back than 1819 where we find him in Arkansas Territory [South West corner ]and again in 1820 , special census Arkansas Territory. In 1824 he was in Texas with Stephen F. Austin . He married Elizabeth (betty ) Miller .Can't seem to find patents or siblings names . We are starting to wonder if there is some truth in the story about the massacre .
