Hello, If any of those interested in the maps that have been discussed.....if, perchance you see any surveying done by Henry Wise, the Silversmith and Clockmaker who lived in Greensburg until 1833, I would appreciate knowing. I know he surveyed the land Johnstown, PA is on, as well as land in Somerset County, Pa for the Surveyor who assited in surveying and laying out Pittsburgh. That was a Mr. Vickroy. This is the same Henry Wise, who's clock is at the Museum of American Art in Greensburg. He is my direct ancestor. I am trying to learn more about his surveying activities. He was born in 1763, died in Greensburg in 1833. I am still in search of his parents and birth place. He was living in Bedford, listed himself as a "Silversmith" at the time he did the surveying for Mr. Vickroy. Thank you, tullycross2@comcast.net
