    3. Thanks Marie, I've done all of that. The problem is there was another man by the same name and I can't tell if he was in Westmoreland County before that section became Indian County or not. I do appreciate your advice though. Thanks. Your best option and probably easiest and quickest is find a deed from a known location and work backwards. If you find them in a location in a census, and the furthest back census for that town, you could write the county recorder for a check of the buyer and seller indexes (can't think at the moment their official terms). The microfilm could also be viewed at an LDS library, and other sources if you wanted to look for yourself. -----Original Message----- From: pawestmo-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:pawestmo-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Virginia Patricelli Sent: Sunday, January 22, 2012 9:52 AM To: Pawestmo@Rootsweb.Com Subject: [PAWESTMO] maps I'm wondering if there is a map of Westmoreland County in 1900 which would show the land owners at that time. The family I am looking for showed up in Indiana County in the early 1900's but have not figured out where he came from. I should probably find a map of both Westmoreland and Indiana County around 1910 but have not located one yet. Thanks for any help. 3. Oh I'm glad. I always worry that I'm giving information that's already known but if I don't respond.... -----Original Message----- From: pawestmo-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:pawestmo-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Virginia Patricelli Sent: Sunday, January 22, 2012 10:36 AM To: pawestmo@rootsweb.com Subject: [PAWESTMO] maps Thanks Marie, I've done all of that.
