    3. Yes the names of the patentees are on the maps. Each township has a map with an index. Your best bet is to search the index of the warantee register for Westmoreland County (link below). The warrantee register will tell you who patented the land. You should look first to see if you can find their names as warrantees. If you don't find them, you will have to look at every page of the warrantee index under the patentee column. There are 169 pages but neatly handwritten.
