In honor of Family History Month, the North Hills Genealogists [of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania] is hosting a conference from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday, 20 October 2012 at the Wildwood Golf Club, 2195 Sample Road, Allison Park, PA 15101. This lovely venue will host a great program featuring D. Joshua Taylor, MA, MLS, a well known lecturer. Mr. Taylor is the Business Development Manager, North America, for brightsolid Online Publishing, the parent company of Find My Past. He has also been a featured genealogist on the TV show Who Do You Think You Are? His lectures will include "Discovering USGenWeb," "Bridging the Gap: Finding Ancestors in the U.S. between 1780 and 1830," "Mapping Your Success: Employing Maps for Genealogical Research," and "Putting It Together: A Case Study." The latter traces a family from Pennsylvania to Idaho through several types of records. The conference registration fee includes a continental breakfast, hot lunch, and door prizes.
