Dear Barbara & George, This is true. My uncle was one of the very last pastors for St. John's n the last years is was in existence also. I don't know who was in charge hen he retired. I believe all the records would now be in the Lutheran rchives, as at the closing of the parish, they would have been turned in to hem. Hope they all are, because my youngest son was baptized there in 970. -----Original Message----- rom: pawestmo-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:pawestmo-bounces@rootsweb.com] n Behalf Of Barbara & George Grenier ent: Friday, February 24, 2012 12:51 PM o: pawestmo@rootsweb.com ubject: Re: [PAWESTMO] Lutheran Church Records? did a quick look on oogle http://discover.hsp.org/Record/hsp.opac.v01-288382 nd found this book listed enmark Manor Lutheran Church (separated from St. John's, Boquet, in 888), Penn Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, parish ecords, 1888-1912 / y Paul Miller Ruff looks like you need to look at St John's Barbara t 09:23 AM 2/24/2012, you wrote: Hi, Are there many Lutheran church records still available? I'm specifically looking for records from about 1780 to 1840, and the church I most see in my research is called Denmark Manor Lutheran Church in Penn Township. I appreciate any information possible. Although I've been at this for several decades, I haven't dealved much into church records, other than the churches I was already familiar with, but it appears that I'm going to need that aspect with my Pennsylvania ancestors! 3. I'm not sure if they are. I think it is in Greenville or Zelinople. I think any Lutheran minister would know that answer, if they are of the right division of Lutherans. My uncle is deceased so I can't talk to him about it. Ellen
