    3. I have an obscure report (about 1800) for an ancestor that shows his place of birth as "Westland, Penn" so I believed that he was a quaker and was a member of the Westland Monthly Meeting in Washington County. But when I pursued that it was a dead end. So I found a Westland on Google maps in Washington County but I'm not sure it is a real place. Could Westland also be short for Westmoreland? On the same report, his wife is listed as coming from "Greensboro, Westnd" Could they both be from Westmoreland around 1800? This has been a wild goose chase that is years in the making. Not sure whether to look in Westmoreland county, Washington county or Greene County. Any advise is much appreciated. Elizabeth Garland

    3. There is was a Greensburg in Westmoreland. I have some families I am researching in and around. German Catholics migrated into the area and some Irish.
