Hi I'm trying to find information on the above who is on the 1880 Cenus aged 75 living in Westmoreland (not sure which town) she was born in Germany and was a widow. I would like to find a death/obituary etc. I'm trying to find more information on her please, cannot find her on the 1870 Census or earlier, not sure if she could be our Henry's mother. Kind regards Dianna
Dianna, That reads as Penn Township. There is a Magdalena Fuller in the 1850 census, husband Carl, children, Susan, Frances, Mary & Peter. However, they are living in St Genevieve, MO. Both Carl & Magdalena born in Germany; children, Missouri. Pennsylvania did not require statewide record keeping until 1906. I believe from 1892-1906, the counties were supposed to record vital statistics, but those records aren't great, but you might get lucky and her death was recorded. Your other option would be church records. Give me your info on Henry (birth/death, etc) and I'll see if I can find anything else.
