James Patton married Ruth Anna Riley in Columbian Co, OH in June 1833...but by 1854 (Nov 15), he had purchased 174 acres from J.N. Dick. I believe this is when they moved to PA, Franklin Township. The land today is on Pleasant Valley Road, and I believe that is outside of Murrysville. I have their Patton family Bible which I've posted, and now thought I'd try to find out more through Census. I can't locate them on Ancestry for any of these years, and I've tried Paton, Patton, Patten.... I have deeds, and marriage licenses, so I KNOW they were in Westmoreland County, so it is driving me nuts because I can't find them on Census records! James died Jan 10, 1879 but his wife lived until 1897 and stayed on the property because I have some leases to Coal Natural Gas and Turtle Creek Railroad.
