    3. Back on July 22, 1976 there was an article in the Tribune-Review about the cleaning up of the Somers Cemetery, but I also have a reference to it as Bash Cemetery. A rough job of trying to clean it up by Bill McFarland of Greensburg and LeRoy "Whitey" Schaller of Bolivar, both group leaders in the Youth Conservation Corps, a federally and state funded summer employment program for high school students & 16 members of the corps (eight from the Forbes State Forest Office in Ligonier, eight from Lynn Run Park cleared the cemetery of the trees, brushes, and briars in two days' time. It just looked like forest when they started to do it. What I'm wondering is What Condition Is It In Now 30 Years Later. The cleanup was do to an elderly woman's letter to the editor being published. She stated that men who had fought on battlefields were buried there. I just happened on a copy of the article & I think we have a copy of this cemeteries records at our historical society. If so, I am going to place the article & pictures of it in a vinyl & place it with the records. Let me know if any of you know more about the cemetery condition now.
