Hello list! I have some land records for Peter Hill, dated 1784, which describe a tract called "Hillsborough" in Pitt Township, Westmoreland. It's on a branch of Turtle Creek, and adjoins the land of Alexander Atchison and John Penter. Later generations of this family lived around Murrysville. It's said that Peter Hill's plantation was about two miles From Export. Can anybody help me pinpoint this? Tom
Hi Tom, I don't know if anything I have will help you but will send you some attachments to your personal e-mail. I am interested in the Atchison family, if you have any information. A Agnes Atchison married Capt. James Leech and I have a Leech line. This marriage was a 2nd one for Agnes - her first was to Alexander Atchison.
