I'd like to find information on Richard Williams b.abt. 1740 and his son Richard Williams b.abt. 1782 m. Jane Ellis and their relationship to Williams Blockhouse, later called Miller's Blockhouse. It was erected early in Rev.War on the Catawba Trail midway between Stahlstown and Donegal, Westmoreland Cnty, PA. Hi Liz, I'd be interested in this information, too. I am a descendant of Daniel Williams, through his daughter, Christina Williams, who married Peter Cribbs. I think Daniel and Richard were brothers... I descend from Daniel's brother Thomas, m. to Anna Maria Yerian. Their parents were Thomas and Naeima. I have found no documentation that Richard was a brother. I believe, if I remember right, Richard lived in Donegal twp. were as Thomas & Daniel lived in Hempfield. Some of the history books say they were Welsh but this is an error. They were German Lutherans. Rev. Paul ruff has several baptisms listed of both families. Gbg. Historical society has a book on the Hawk family that gives a nice history of the Williams. Also look in Yerian file. I am traveling for the winter and do not have my Williams files with me but if you contact me after April 15th or there about I can share more info. gshalloran@prodigy.net Georgia Hileman Halloran
