I looked at the census page on Ancestry.com and it reads Mt. Pleasant Twp.(Bridgeport Village). My PA. Gazetteer shows the township at the south end of Westmoreland Co. around the town of Mt. Pleasant. Modern maps show a town named Bridgeport about a mile south of Mt. Pleasant so one might assume that it was a village in 1880. Happy hunting.
