Barbara, My GG grandfasther was Samuel S. Smith from Westmorland County. Born in Maryland in 1835, served in the Civil War with the PA infantry, was wounded at the Battle of the Wilderness, was invalided out, and in 1880 relocated to DeKalb Conty IL. Any of this sound familar? If so, please let me kow. I have been looking for other descendants of Samuel, and have much more to share.
