LaRue Eshbaugh Murphy Snyder LaRue Eshbaugh Murphy Snyder died peacefully and gracefully February 28, 2006 surrounded by loved ones at the home of her son in Houston, Texas after a short battle with lung cancer. She was 87. She was born August 30, 1918 at home in Vandergrift, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania to the late Walter Anthony ESHBAUGH, a patcher in a sheet iron mill, and Anna Tersey KNABB, a housewife. She was the fourth of six children. Edwin Roy, Grace Magdelena, William Knabb, and Ethel Leila predeceased her while Thomas Boyd survives. She had many cousins, nieces and nephews. She chose William Alexander MURPHY of New Brighton, PA as her mate and they were married the day after Christmas 1941 in Wellsburg, West Virginia. They settled in Ambridge where they lived on Maplewood Avenue until Bill's death May 27, 1978. All three children survive: William A. Murphy, Jr. and his wife Judy, Walter George Murphy and his wife Betty, and Elzanna LaRue Haskell and her husband Pete. LaRue's sister, Grace, had married Murch Ansley SNYDER, Jr. in 1939, and LaRue, Bill, Grace and Murch were fast friends. Grace died in April 1984. In June 1985, LaRue and Murch were married at her son's home in St. Louis, Missouri. They celebrated twenty years of wonderfully happy marriage in 2005. Murch survives LaRue. She was buried at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell, PA. ***** There is alot more about LaRue's life, but I wanted to copy the pertinent info with the names in case anyone might be researching the Eshbaughs or the Murphys.
