My great grandfather- From The Latrobe Bulletin 03/25/1931 John Rollen Mellors, aged 82, the father of Joseph R. Mellors, of 1319 Jefferson street, Latrobe, died at his home in Mammoth, at 6 o'clock this morning. He had been ill for some time with dropsy. Mr. Mellors was born in Derbyshire, England, March 9, 1848. On the fifth of next June it would have been 40 years that he had lived in Mammoth. He is survived by his widow, and the following children: Mrs. Margaret Thomas, of Luxor; Mrs. R. S. Barnhart, of Hunker; Mrs. Tony Panzona, of Grindstone; Joseph R. Mellors, of Latrobe; George F. Mellors, of Mammoth. The funeral cortege will leave the home at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Funeral services are to be held in St. Paul's Reformed church, Trauger, at 2 o'clock. Note: His wife was Margaret Marie Graham Hardesty from Preston County, WVA. We had always thought that John's middle name was Roland, so I don't know if we were misinformed or if this was a typo by the paper. Also I believe Panzona should have been Panzone. Dawne Temple
