James formerly of Brackenridge Agnes Ewing James, 79 of 220 Springhouse Lane, New Wilmington, formerly of Brackenridge, died Monday (May 14, 1991) at 10:15 a.m. in Jameson Hospital, New Castle, after a lingering illness. She was born Dec. 9, 1910 in Indiana Township. Mrs James was an expert seamstress and craftswoman. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary Jean) Schneider of Mercer; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sherman E. James; her parents, James and Jean Caldwell Ewing; Two brothers, David and James; and two sisters, Marion and Jeanie. Friends will be received Saturday from 10 a.m. in the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, 1521 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights, Harrison. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Mitchell of All Saints Episcopal Church, Pittsburgh. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. "Don" James Fawn Donald C. James 80, of Fawn died Wednesday (June 14, 2000) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison. He was born Nov. 3, 1919 in Bolivar. A 1938 graduate of Har-Brack High School he was the former owner and operator of James Service Station, Fawn. He also was retired from M. Maskas and Sons, Tarentum. A veteran of World War II he served in the Army Air Corps. Mr. James was a member of the Natrona Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars, Brackenridge American Legion and a former member of the Outdoor Life Lodge, Fawn. He enjoyed gardening, bird feeding, hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp in Tionesta. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Eleanor, Dunning, James a daughter, Donna James of Fawn a grandson and two brothers, Richard James of Fawn and Leslie James of Sarver. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert James; his parents Ernest C. and Hazel Muir James; and a brother, Robert L James. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Cicholski-Zidek Funeral Home Inc. 1522 Carlisle St. Natrona Heights where services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Born February 11, 1882 New Florence, Pa a son of the late Jacob and Mary Davis James, he had lived some years at Cherry Tree and Patton, Pa-the past 48 years in Bolivar. He was a member of the Church of Christ of West Bolivar and a Deacon of his church for 15 years, Mr James had been tax collector of Bolivar borough, was a former member of the Borough Council and Junior Mechanics. He was a retired coal miner and a member of Bolivar Local of UMW of A. Survived by his wife, three sons-Gilbert, Rural Valley, Pa; Lisle, Rural Valley, Pa; Eugene Cleveland, Ohio; a son Harry died in infancy; one daughter Mrs Wilda Gamble passed away six years ago; six grandchildren, one great grandchild; two brothers, Lewis of Tarentum, Pa, John of Louisville, Ky; three sisters Mrs Gertrude Forsha, Blairsville, Mrs Myrtle Garland, Bolivar, Mrs Elsie Garland, Bolivar.
