    3. From Tribune-Review Short Lawrence Short 84, of North Huntingdon, died Thursday Aug. 7, 1986 in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. He was born May 4, 1902 in Gray Station the son of the late Albert and Jennie Ruffner Short. Prior to his retirement he was employed at Union Switch & Signal in Swissvale. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church of North Huntingdon. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Shirey Short, in 1984; and a son James A. Short in 1947. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. ====================================================== Short George L. "Popeye" Short, 56, of Blairsville RD 3 (Gray Station), died Friday Dec. 16, 1983 at his daughter's home in Ohio. Born Aug. 21, 1927 in Torrance he was a son of Gladys F. Kunkle Short of Blairsville RD 3 and the late Norman C. Short. Before his retirement he was an employee of Derry Contract Machinists. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of the National Trappers Association. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Esther Weiss Short in 1973. Surviving in addition to his mother, are three daughters; Mrs. John (Shirley) Felker of Derry RD 1 (Millwood), Cathy Lynn Tarr of New Springfield Ohio and Karen Marie Short at home; two brothers; Norman of Derry and Walter of Gray Station; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Grace) Quick of Blairsville and four grandchildren.
