Schaffstall Cyrilla S. Schaffstall, 75 of Greensburg, died Friday, Aug. 21, 1992, at home. She was born May 16, 1917, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Hilary B. and Anna Short Stader. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Carbon. She graduated in 1939 from the former Westmoreland Hospital School of Nursing, Greensburg. She was a member and treasurer of the Greensburg Lioness Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Schaffstall, in 1982. She is survived by a brother, Hilary Stader of Herminie; a sister, Mrs. John (Mary Jane) Diehl of Latrobe; and a number of nieces and nephews Friends will be received at the Coshey-Nicholson Funeral Home Inc. 319 West Pittsburgh St. Greensburg, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.. Short 58 of Bolivar died Friday, April 26, 1996 at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. h He was born Oct. 1, 1937 in Bolivar, a son of the late Bryan and Carrie Hysong Short. He was a foreman for PennDot; a member of the Church of Christ, Bolivar; and a member of the Bearpond Sportsman's Club. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Jane Bush and Violet "Doll" Burkett; and an infant brother William and an infant sister, Barbara. He is survived by his wife, Mildred A. Muir Short; a daughter, Carrie Anne and her husband Patrick Oliver, of New Florence; and two sons, Eddie L. and his wife Deborah Short, and Cory H. Short all of Bolivar. He is also survived by two sisters, Helen "Mood" Libengood of Blairsville, and Joan "Joby" Foust of Bolivar; and two brothers, Joseph "Bubber" Short of Pleasant Unity, and Donald Short of Bolivar; and two grandchildren, Joe and Josh Short of Bolivar. She was born Dec. 23, 1909 in Derry Twp. a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Chiperdak Gamble. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Derry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James K. Short in 1967; three sisters, Rose Kern, Kathryn O'Donell and Helen McManamy; and three brothers, Andrew, John, and Metro Gamble. She is survived by two sons, James K. Short and Andrew F. Short, both of Derry; two daughters, Anna Marie Snoddy of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mrs. Albert (Kathryn R.) Fox of Hendersonville, Tenn.; Four sisters, Mary Sinemus of Derry RD, Sophie Bollinger and Mrs. James (Julia) Parker, both of Derry, and Mrs. Edward (Mildred) Musho of Ocala, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
