    3. Thanks to Latrobe Bulletin, and Greensburg Tribune/Review O'Barto Mrs. Nellie M. Holman O'Barto, 76 of 443 1/2 Lloyd Ave. Latrobe died Sunday Dec. 7, 1980. She was born May 4, 1904, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Short Holman. She was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Latrobe, and its Rosary Society. Surviving are her husband John C O'Barto; four sons, John L., Albert D., and Thomas J., all of Latrobe, and Ronald J. of Boise, Idaho; five daughters, Mrs. Richard (Bernadette) Domenic and Mrs. George (Dolores) Burick, both of Latrobe, Mrs. John (Anna Mae) McLaughlin of Turtle Creek, Mrs. James (Caroline) McPhaden of Connecticut, and Mrs. Carl (Shirley) Smith of New York; 54 grandchildren ; and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends received at the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Latrobe. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Latrobe. =============================================================== Clarence J. Knitz Clarence J. Kintz 76 of 1111 Jefferson St. Latrobe, died Oct. 20, 1982 in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born in Millwood Nov. 14, 1905, he was a son of the late Ambrose and Mary Short Kintz. He was a member of Holy Family Church. Preceding him in death were one daughter, Frances Libengood, in 1976 and two brothers, Clyde and William Kintz. He is survived by his wife, Elvira Reaney Kintz, Two sons, Joseph Leo of Shepfield, Ohio and Clarence James of Moline Ill., one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Rose) Strayer of Youngstown; two brothers, Louis Kintz of Gray Station and Leonard Kintz of Mercer; Two sisters, Mrs. Fidelis Stairs of Greensburg and Mrs. Bertha Sparber of Warren, Ohio; eight grandchildren, and three Great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, Latrobe. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Church. Interment will follow in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville. ================================================================ Short Clarence P. Short 65 of Bradenville RD 2, died Saturday July 27, 1985 in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Dec. 16, 1919 in Latrobe, a son of the late Charles E. and Catherine Murphy Short. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Standard Steel, Latrobe. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U. S. Army. He was a member of St. Rose Church, Latrobe. He was also a member of the Cooperstown Sportsman Association, and the American Slovak Beneficial Society. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Short; and three brothers, Regis, Leo, and Joseph. He is survived by Marie Betty Belz, with whom he made his home; three brothers, John of Hostetter, Gilbert A. and Paul E. both of Latrobe; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Agnes) Pagnotta of Latrobe RD 4, Mrs. Virgil (Ida) Shirey of Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Joseph (Ann) Kahl of Blairsville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home, 601 Weldon St. Latrobe on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Church, Latrobe with the Rev. Julius Stefurasky as celebrant. Interment following in St. Rose Cemetery. Short Gilbert A. Short 72, of 2127 Knox Ave. Latrobe died Friday Sept. 11, 1987 at home. He was born July 28, 1915 in Derry Twp. a son of the late Charles E. and Catherine E. Murphy short. Prior to his retirement he was employed by Standard Steel. He was a member of Holy Family Church of Latrobe and its Holy Name Society. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U. S. Army Air Force. He was a member of American Legion Post 515 Latrobe. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Leo, Regis, Joseph and Clarence Short; and a sister, Julia C. Short. He is survived by his wife, Agnes B. Zurick; a son Richard E. Watts of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter Mrs. Curtis (Maureen) Thomas of Latrobe; two brothers, Paul A Short of Latrobe and John A. Short of Hostetter; three sisters. Mrs. Agnes Pagnotta of Latrobe RD 4, Mrs. Virgil (Ida) Shirley of Cleveland, Ohio and Mrs. Joseph (Ann) Kahl of Blairsville RD 4 ; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc. 601 Weldon St. Latrobe, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m., in Holy Family Church. Interment will be in St. Vincent Cemetery.
